BECKY ALLEN - (Zombina) Born and reared in New Orleans, and probably going to die here, too, Miss Allen loves her city hard, hard, hard and New Orleans loves her right back by choosing her Gambit’s Best Actress in the city. She has also received the Big Easy Entertainer of the Year Award. You may have seen her in such hits as Class Reunion, The Queen of Bingo, Dirty Blonde, Thoroughly Modern Millennium, and the perennial local favorite And The Ball and All. Her other critically acclaimed stage credits would fill the page. On local television commercials, she has also portrayed such characters as Anna Mae & Rosemary, the Chair Lady, and most recently wielding a knife for the TOPS program. Stand-up comedy, convention shows and the radio show “Crescent City” round out her busy schedule. Becky is excited to be working with such a talented and good looking cast, crew, and music trio in Zombies, and, of course, with the Renaissance Man himself, director, musician, set builder, and, oh yes, dentist, Butch Caire. Miss Allen’s inspiration and mentor is her beautiful mother Myrtis.

ROLAND "BUTCH" CAIRE, JR. - (Major Malone) Besides being a dentist by day, Butch has been quite busy in New Orleans theatre over the last two years, now singing his third season with the Jefferson Symphony Chorus, and performing in the Jefferson Performing Arts Society productions of Orunmilla's Voices (Baritone Sub-soloist), Jesus Christ Superstar (Annas) and the critically-praised Cabaret (Customs Inspector/Max) which toured to the Biloxi Grand Casino for a successful limited engagement. Zombies From The Beyond is his third show with his theatrical production company: Artists' Cooperative Theater. He had a hit with his first original revue The Sinatra Supperclub at Carlone's Dinner Theatre, following it with a glittering performance of the Off-Broadway Classic, The Fantasticks (El Gallo) at the Fine Arts Center. A member of BMI, Butch is also an accomplished musician and cmposer. He has co-written two published musical plays for children, No Ordinary Night, and The Best Place to Celebrate Christmas. Look for him in upcoming roles in his original musical, The Truth About Santa Claus, and in JPAS' productions of Sweet Charity and The Merry Widow. Butch would like to thank the cast and crew for their patience, their energy, and their efforts which all makre him appear much more talented than he is. And he thanks his family and his long-suffering wife, Gwen, for picking him up when he’s stumbled...especially in those pumps!

MAT GRAU - (Billy Krutzik) It’s always a pleasure to work for new theater groups and new directors, and Butch, along with the rest of the cast, are no exception. Mat has been seen in many shows at other theaters around town, including the recent run of The Music Man (Tommy Djilas) at Rivertown, A Chorus Line (Mike) at JPAS, and Big River (Huck Finn). Hopefully, with a little bit of luck, Mat’s tapping in Zombies will bring you some joy tonight, but, if not, his “salami’s sure to delight”. Thanks for all the help “jailbird”.
